Editor’s Notes: Today is not only Stephen Curry's 30th birthday, but it is also Pi Day, a celebration of 3.14, the mathematical anomaly. To commemorate each occasion, Under Armour is in turn launching a special "Pi Day" Curry 5.

Inspired by the ancient Pi equation of “squaring the circle,” the upper of Steph's signature shoe features just that, circular knit construction built through the framing of the 90-degree angle of the foot. Various containment areas then lock in the foot, allowing Curry to remain light on his toes. The overall theme of Pi is carried out via the Pi symbol on the knit material, as well as the numbers of Pi on the sole and "3.14.18" printed on the lace aglets. The Pi number sequence is showcased on the shoe box as well.

Steph's Under Armour Curry 5 "Pi Day" arrives today in just 314 pairs online.
