Editor’s Notes: Vans has announced its latest innovation with ComfyCush, the brand's newest signature comfort-based technology that is now applied on their lineup of iconic sneakers, starting with the classic Era silhouette. According to Vans, the updated Era with ComfyCush "feels like you’re walking on a cloud."

The Era made its debut in 1976 and following legendary skateboarders Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta asking Vans for more function in the silhouette, Vans has taken that initiative to heart by listening to consumers worldwide and launched the ComfyCush Era, as consumers began asking for more comfort, without changing the shoe’s distinctive aesthetic.

In terms of its design, the Era flaunts its recognizable profile low-cut top-lace structure with a durable double-stitched canvas upper, padded tongue and waffle outsole. The decision to launch ComfyCush was simple, as the brand explained, "The ComfyCush Era exemplifies how Vans is adapting to the evolving needs of our consumers," said Nathanial Iott, senior director of footwear design at Vans. "With comfort as the goal, the ComfyCush Era employs a one-piece constructed interior including tongue tie-downs for improved fit and feel, added arch support and a co-molded construction of foam and rubber to create the perfect combination of cushion and grip for lasting comfort."

With the brand new ComfyCush Era sneakers exactly like its original counterpart, the ComfyCush elements are hidden within the foundation of the shoes. For more info and availability on the new ComfyCush Era, head on over to Vans' website now, as pricing starts at $60 in three colorways.
