With the current state of media, it comes as little, to no surprise, that a bottle of discontinued sauce could cause such undoubtable pandemonium. Following Rick’s obsession with the famed Szechuan Sauce from McDonald’s, it steadily grew to adopt somewhat of a cult status amongst circles of adoring fans.

McDonald’s even gifted the show’s co-creator Justin Roiland with a bottle of the sauce, packaged in a special Dimension C-1998M travel case. It is also astonishing to hear that one eBay seller was even able to receive bids as high as $15,000 for a single 64 oz bottle. You can read the extent to which the Szechuan-Sauce-Saga escalated to here, with the video we have all been waiting for above, showing amongst others, Justin Roiland, Dan Harmon, and some of the team behind Rick and Morty trying it for the first time ever. Be sure to check out Rick’s famed obsession with that “Mulan McNugget Sauce” in the season three video clip below.

In more McDonald’s news, the food giant just released the perfect dessert for stoners and you can check it out here.
