Over the years, Kanye West has been responsible for a number of designs that have left us scratching our heads. This one may take the cake, though. Courtesy of YEEZY insiders YEEZY MAFIA, today we're getting our (rumored) first look at Ye's all-new Knit Runner.
For all intents and purposes, the forthcoming YEEZY silhouette is a knit version of the ever-popular Foam Runner, which we've already dubbed one of the best shoes of the summer. Whereas the Foam Runner is made from foam produced from algae, the Knit Runner is made from — well — a knit material. The connection to the Foam Runner is clear, however, as it boasts the same overall shape as the laceless shoe.
According to YEEZY MAFIA, the Knit Runner was initially referred to as the "Turreliens" and "TRRL RNR." We applaud the name change — Knit Runner is so much easier to say and spell out. From these early images of the silhouette, seemingly previewing the shoe in prototype form, we see the Knit Runner in a two-tone colorway pairing a sand hue with yellow. At the heel you will find a "Size US12" tag, which is likely merely for prototype purposes.
Neither Kanye nor adidas have spoken on the YEEZY Knit Runner as we know it, so you'll want to stay tuned for more concrete info on the outrageous design. In the meantime, follow here to check out every YEEZY sneaker restocking throughout the rest of the year.
