Christian Dada recently opened its first flagship store outside of Japan. Located at 268 Orchard Road in Singapore, the new space features a stunning interior that depicts a fuse of modern and contemporary interpretation of a Japanese zen garden, reflecting the designer’s attachment to his Japanese heritage and aesthetics.
In addition to highlighting the Christian Dada FW16 collection, the flagship opening showcased a photo exhibit by famed Japanese photographer Araki Nobuyoshi, as a part of his “Love on the Left Eye” series. The photographs will in turn be on display for a limited time, and they are also available for purchase.
Those in attendance, which included Christian Dada’s founder and creative director Mr. Masanori Morikawa, Mr. Yang Hyun Suk (founder and CEO of South Korea’s YG Entertainment), Teddy Park, Kush, Ian Fang, Carrie Wong, Fiona Xie, Ethen Lee, Xavier Ong, Hayley and Jayley Woo, Shigga Shay, Kim Lim, Mae Tan, Rigel Davis, and last but not least, viral rap sensation Rich Chigga, were treated to champagne and an appetizing selection of artfully created canapés, in addition to the photography exhibit and fashion presentation by Christian Dada.
