From the ground up

Footwear brand CLAE has been spending the summer celebrating its 15th anniversary in style, which is to say, churning out hella collaborations. The past two months alone has seen the label partner up with Publish Brand for a dark new silhouette titled the Bradley Mid and with mega-footwear retailer Feature Sneaker Boutique for a “Safari Pack.” For its newest project, CLAE has turned to the unlikely source of hospitality company and boutique MAMA Shelter for the latter label’s first ever sneaker creation.

The result of this pairing is an update on the Bradly Mid, transforming the sneaker into a court shoe silhouette that is chic af. Effectively titled the Bradley Court, the piece of footwear is constructed from a full grain leather, a custom CLAE sole and accentuated with a heel made from neoprene. A cute MAMA Shelter appears embossed on the shoe’s tongue, depicting a fist bump with the company’s mantra “Mama loves you.”

The MAMA Shelter x CLAE Bradley Court shoe will retail for $130. It goes on sale September 1, and will be available in MAMA Shelter’s Paris and Los Angeles retail locations. The shoe will also be up for purchase on both MAMA Shelter’s and CLAE’s online boutique. It maintains both the kitschy aesthetic so perfectly crafted by MAMA Shelter while simultaneously carrying all of the elements of a classically CLAE shoe, making this sneaker close to a match made in heaven.
