Where the runway meets the street

In the weeks following the lukewarm reception of Suicide Squad (critically, if not financially), it seems like scene-stealer Jared Leto has been everywhere. Whether its reprising his role as the Joker in a Skrillex music video or providing juicy tell-alls to GQ and Rolling Stone, the actor has been ubiquitous. Yet somehow he has found time for even more projects, as his cherubic visage is all over the just-released campaign film for “Gucci Guilty,” the latest fragrance from the Italian mega-brand.

The ad was shot on location in Venice amidst foggy canals filled with gondolas, but that is not where the action is. The meat of the campaign film switches back and forth between a luxurious bathtub and a luxurious bedroom, both of which feature Leto nearly nude and spending some quality time with two female friends, portrayed by models Julia Hafstrom and Vera Van Erp. In other words, Leto has found himself a nice ménage à trois to wile away his lazy hours in one of the most beautiful cities on Earth.

The 30-second clip packs in an impressive amount of erotic imagery despite its brief runtime, but decadent campaign films are Gucci’s bread and butter. Earlier this summer the label made headlines with its epic four-part fashion film showcasing its 2017 Cruise collection. And it was brought to life by Gia Coppola, a director with a true knack for realizing atmospheric visuals. But as impressive as that clip was, it sure didn’t have a half-nude Jared Leto going for it.

“Gucci Guilty” is available now on Gucci’s online store.

In other Gucci news, the brand recently unveiled a cute new collab with Snoopy.
