Waka Flocka Flame is whipping up the heat between him and Gucci Mane. Speaking to Charlie Sloth on BBC Radio 1Xtra before dropping his new single “Was My Dawg”, Flocka sat down to talk through what many believe to be a record directed at Gucci Mane. It’s not hard to believe – seeing as the artwork features his silhouette and his Instagram handle has been tagged in the post, as you can see below.
The former Brick Squad affiliates have apparently not been cool “for four years” over label and money issues, and Wacka made it abundantly clear in the interview that he has no intentions of working with his ex-dawg ever again. Questioning Gucci’s street cred and needing to get a lot of pent-up aggression off his chest, Flocka stated, “Hey, since he been out, did he shoot a video in East Atlanta? Since Gucci been out, did he shoot a video in East Atlanta? Alright. I’m exposing these folks. I ain’t no hater, I’m just exposing. Atlanta got real big dogs, real kings of the east. East Atlanta got real kings. It ain’t one person.”
You have to wonder whether this is just Waka trying to remain relevant in calling out Gucci, with Guwop’s career skyrocketing at present. Gucci has yet to respond to the shots getting fired his way, but stay tuned.
In other Atlanta music news, Migos have dropped a new song, which you can listen to here.
