A few weeks ago we reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was seriously considering a presidential bid — well, now it looks like he might have his running mate lined up.

On the season finale of SNL, The Rock announced, “I just want to say once and for all, I’m in. Starting tonight, I’m running for the President of the United States.”

He then confirmed that he had already chosen the perfect running mate — Tom Hanks. Together they joked they would get 100 percent of the vote. Hanks would get seniors (“because I fought in World War II in, like, 10 different movies”) while Johnson would get minority voters (“because everyone just assumes I’m, well, whatever they are.”)

@therock / @tomhanks 2020? Yes, please. #SNLFinale

Before finishing his monologue, Johnson also landed a quick dig on the current U.S. president: “In the past, I never would have considered running for president. I didn’t think I was qualified at all. But now, I’m actually worried that I’m too qualified.” Watch the video above.
