With season 7 of Game of Thrones scheduled to premiere just about a month from now (July 16), we now have even more reason to be excited after it was revealed that the average episode’s running time will be a whopping 63 minutes and its finale will come in at 81 minutes — making it the longest episode to date.

For context, the previous record holder for longest episode was Season 6’s finale, “The Winds of Winter,” which ran 68 minutes.

In total, the seven episodes in season seven will total 7 hours and 20 minutes. Last season, the ten episodes totaled 9 hours and 15 minutes.
