UFC owner Dana White has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss the upcoming “super fight” between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.
It’s no surprise that White would back McGregor’s chances given his connections with the Dubliner — once again citing McGregor’s southpaw’s stance as a big advantage. He then goes on to discuss the recent press tour, including the flashpoint in London where McGregor broke the no contact rule and playfully slapped Mayweather on the head. “When we got to London, Conor went by and slapped [Mayweather] on top of his head,” White said. “That’s not allowed. I was yelling at Conor the whole time while it was happening. I saw it coming, and I was like, ‘Conor, no!’ It was like slow motion.”
Kimmel has been in the opposing corner to Mayweather in the past, famously joining Manny Pacquiao’s entourage to accompany the fighter to the ring in 2015.
Mayweather vs. McGregor takes place August 26. Watch the London press conference below.
