Concerned citizens, fans and fellow artists alike are gathering tonight in Philadelphia to protest the incarceration of Meek Mill, a decision that has incited widespread criticism since the sentence was issued last week. See the details of the rally in an Instagram post from Rick Ross below.

Many opponents of the sentence, both in and outside the hip-hop world, have been quick to decry Meek’s unjust incarceration – one ruled to last two to four years for violating the terms of his probation by the deciding judge. Some, including Meek’s attorney, have indicated that the judge was unfairly biased in her ruling based on a personal vendetta.

Expectant attendees of tonight’s rally include singer Justine Sky, Pennsylvania State Representative Jordan Harris, the ACLU’s Bill Cobb and Philadelphia’s Chief Public Defender, Keir Bradford-Gray.

Visit the rally’s Facebook event page for more info on where to attend.
