Brand: AEANCE

Season: Collection 03

Key Pieces: The entire lineup is solid and timeless, but the lineup of long coats, blazers and trousers are a few of the notable standouts.

Editor’s Notes: Following last year’s second collection designed by Steven Tai, premium athletic wear label AEANCE is back with its third men’s and women’s collection, this time made in conjunction with renowned industrial designer Konstantin Grcic.

Unlike the brand’s sportswear ethos, this new range places an emphasis on tailored and contemporary ready-to-wear silhouettes encompassing nine pieces to reflect both AEANCE and Grcic’s aesthetics in design. Coats, jackets, blazers, trousers and skirts, have been composed of technically innovative and sustainable fabrics, with 96% of its textiles being recycled, purely natural, biodegradable or bio-based.

In particular, coats are made using a breathable and waterproof 3-layer fabric made from recycled plastic bottles and manufactured by German laminate specialists Sympatex, while blazers and jackets are constructed using ZQ Merino-certified New Zealand Merino wool, and a lightweight Japanese stretch fabric made from recycled nylon.

Exhibiting timeless appeal with the collection’s minimalist sensibilities, the silhouettes are also constructed using taped seams, laser cutting and bonding, along with technical features, like vent holes, internal arm cuffs, concealed buttons and inner pockets.

Rendered in a versatile color palette of black, blue, grey, red and mauve, the collection is produced within Europe, and all of its garments are made in Portugal.
