We’ve heard and seen a lot of brands look to nature as their source of inspiration, especially when it comes to outerwear. But afterlabel has gone one step further, not only looking at nature and its elements but digging into the origins of ancient cultures who worked in tandem with nature to survive.

Like their tech-inspired red slash logo indicates, afterlabel has gone beyond barriers, pushing boundaries with their new FW23 collection. Focusing on an approach to technique, craftsmanship, and texture, the Italian brand dive into the relationship between humans and nature with pieces that are sure to have you comfortably decked out and wrapped up for the upcoming winter season.

Good puffers aren’t hard to find, but a puffer that speaks to the history of nature-related craft is a new way to find yourself even more connected to the great outdoors. Early cultures found their roots and inspiration in the symbiotic relationship between us and nature, finding ways to keep the two worlds balanced without the risk of either overpowering the other. What better way to show this than throwing afterlabel into the wild?

The new collection spotlights different kinds of washing techniques and textiles influenced by these practices and crafts, where materiality and utilitarianism are priorities.

From a half-textured aesthetic and bold color blocks to check patterns and waterproof shells, the FW23 puffers bring functionality and feeling to the fore. Obviously sticking with the theme of Mother Nature and all that she offers, the jackets combine earthy tones with a nature-inspired palette right down to the finer details — which include a double-hood for that extra snug feel. So if you’re looking for a cozy puffer-blanket hybrid to sit around a fire by, afterlabel’s got you sorted.
