From the ground up

Yesterday’s surprise release of the Virgil Abloh x MoMA x Nike Air Force 1 saw heads line up at New York’s MoMA Design Store eager to cop the latest hyped release from the hands of the multihyphenate creative.

It’s no surprise then that those lucky enough to get their hands on a pair for the reasonable price of $175 (currently fetching around $1,000 on the resell market), took to social media to show off their LPU.

Here’s how the lucky few are flexing and flipping on Instagram:

The release celebrates the opening of Items: Is Fashion Modern?, an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art which sees the institution link up with Nike and Virgil Abloh to unveil the latest coveted Air Force 1. First making its appearance at Miami Art Basel 2016, the all-black Nike Air Force 1 x Virgil Abloh was made available to the public for the first time. Stay tuned for updates on the release.
