The rigors of hosting and exhibiting at an art show can be overwhelming, especially at a behemoth of an event like MURAL Festival in Montreal.

MURAL’s whopping 11-day run time isn’t for the faint of heart, and sometimes artists just need to have downtime, too. That’s why Aldo, one of the partners at MURAL,  treated exhibitors (like CryptikWhat is Adamsmitheone, and Michael Reeder) to an artists’ day off for a much-needed respite.

Many artists come from all over the world and being stationed at their walls for the entire festival gives them little time to experience Montreal in all its glory. Aldo decided to spend an entire day with them so they could have some time to unwind while giving a private tour of Aldo’s headquarters, home to an exquisite private art collection that’s just as enviable as any of the myriad walls on display at the festival.

"It was important that we demonstrated to the artists and MURAL Festival team our own respect and appreciation for the arts," explained Aldo senior manager Luke Vachon. "The Aldo HQ is like a curated museum, so within our culture we share a similar passion to this group."

Watch the video above to check out the tour and everything they talked about, as well as Aldo's Mx collab with Montreal artist Pony dropping 8/23/18. And look out for additional collaborations with Aldo's Mx brand with artists from Dubai, Seoul, New York, and London.
