Highsnobiety

With all the quiet luxury talk recently, brands specializing in high-end basics have become the topic of many fashion-related conversations– special shoutout to style queens J. Law and Gwynnie P for a season of subtle flexes.

However, among the list of notable labels offering luxury essentials, no brand has set itself apart quite like A.P.C. Shying away from the traditional route taken by similar brands of its caliber, the French clothing atelier operates with its own expectations in mind, choosing to create and collaborate on works that have changed how we look at luxury fashion.

Highsnobiety, Highsnobiety

Founded in 1987 by French designer Jean Touitou, Atelier de Production et de Création (translated to Production and Creation Workshop) is renowned for its dedication to reliability and authenticity, two elements communicated through its expansive catalog of muted casual wear.

Since touching down in NYC 30 years ago, the iconic blue facade of the 131 Mercer Street flagship has evolved to become a staple destination within America’s fashion capital, representing the high-level quality and functionality synonymous with the brand’s identity.

“Like everyone else, I was magnetized by New York. I knew a bit about how it worked, its codes, its coteries,” remarks a reflective Touitou. “Then, this post-industrial art gallery atmosphere caught my eye in an area without any luxury boutiques. Since opening our doors, New York has helped put A.P.C. on the world map, and the space has remained an impactful destination in SoHo.”

Highsnobiety, Highsnobiety

As an homage to the storied heritage of the brand’s classic store on Mercer Street, we teamed up with A.P.C. to capture its latest collection crafted to mirror the essence of New York’s downtown fashion hub.

Tapping into the brand’s dynamic inner circle of friends and creatives, featuring the likes of The Binary Group’s Jenni Rivera and Tyler Busher, as well as musician Bryndon Cook and specialty chef Tara Thomas, we traveled into the heart of SoHo to immerse ourselves in the world of A.P.C., highlighting the spirit of the special anniversary line.

Featuring select pieces from the brand’s fall and pre-fall collections, like a specialty Japanese denim jacket and a series of sportswear-inspired straight-cut pants, the unique capsule draws inspiration from A.P.C.’s chic and casual aesthetic of the 90s, a period in which the luxury staples label solidified its distinguished ethos.

With a range of other offerings that include artisan tanned leather mules, a waterproofed cotton trench, and exclusive collab pieces from our upcoming Neu York flagship at NYFW, this celebratory collection leans on the strengths of A.P.C., honing in on the key design elements that have differentiated the brand since its inception.

With 30 years of legacy already established, A.P.C. continues to avoid extravagance and instead remains focused on constructing garments that withstand the latest cultural trends.
