You can tell alot about a person from their sunglasses.

What might be simply protection from the sun’s deadly rays to some, is to others a vital accessory that can sometimes end up defining you (just ask Pitbull, for example). So for many style-savvy fashionistas, deciding on a pair of sunglasses that’ll suit both a look and a personality isn’t as easy as it sounds.

In an attempt to make things a little easier this season, Aries is throwing its hat into the anti-UV ring alongside Daniel Beckerman’s RETROSUPERFUTURE label.

Set to launch online on September 8, the frankly wild exclusive collaboration hones in on two epochal brand colorways: the “Aries Aqua” and the RETROSUPERFUTURE “Havana”.

Designed and crafted in Italy, the collaboration looks to fuse Aries’ sports-luxe aesthetic with refined colors and materials, to re-release one of the brand’s signature silhouettes: ZED.

Conceived as a stand-out model, the ZED has been described as an “identity-defying shield” and is characterized by its unique shield lens and sleek acetate body, which features contrasting lines with smooth curves and temples.

The highlight of the model is undoubtedly the lens cut, which extends over the acetate on the exterior sides to form a unique angular detail on the temples.

Equipped with high-tech features such as its semi-flat lens and flexible hinges with classic gold Aries detailing throughout with the “Aries Column” graphic emblazoned on the arms and a subtle appearance holding the bridge.

You can tell a lot about a person from their sunglasses, but what can be figured out through a pair of identity-defying shields? Let’s wait and see.
