Editor’s Notes: Awake NY and Rebook have come together for a nostalgia-inducing collaboration, delivering a collection of footwear and apparel for Spring/Summer 2020. Headlining the release are co-branded takes on Reebok's Instapump Fury and the Workout Low.

“The partnership between Awake NY and Reebok is all about mutual support,” said Angelo Baque, founder of Awake NY. “Reebok offers a rich platform for Awake’s ideas, while Awake offers a fresh, authentic NYC take on Reebok’s heritage and classic sneakers.”

Awake NY x Reebok SS20 draws from New York City's emerging streetwear scene of the late '80s and '90s when sportswear was making a mark on the streets. During that time, New Yorkers were particularly drawn to Reebok's Workout Low, and Awake NY touches on the sneaker's historical impact through its new collaboration.

“We wanted to keep the designs simple and true to both brands,” Baque continued. “Reebok’s signature silhouettes and colorways with Awake NY’s brand blue make a great match stylistically and narratively.”

In addition to the Workout Low and Instapump Fury, Awake NY and Reebok present an apparel capsule featuring a hockey jersey and tracksuit, mimicking the sneakers' heritage-inspired aesthetic.

Awake NY x Reebok SS20 launches initially on March 13 in-store at Dover Street Market and on awakenyclothing.com. The collection will then be available worldwide beginning March 20 at select retailers and on Reebok.com.
