BAPE is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, and the iconic Japanese streetwear heavyweight held its first BAPE HEADS SHOW in New York this past Friday at the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden. The event, which initially began in 1997, is essentially a special concert series honoring artists and fans of the brand. Having already featured artists such as Kanye West, N.E.R.D, and more, this year’s event spotlighted Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Pusha-T, Lil Yachty, and DJ Cipha Sounds.
Featured above is a photo recap of the momentous celebration, as Lil Yachty kicked off the night with his catalog of hits, followed by Pusha-T, then shortly after by Big Sean. Cipha Sounds DJ’d between sets, while Wiz Khalifa and Kid Cudi closed out the show. In addition, the event featured a 65-foot Baby Milo sculpture that was flown in directly from Tokyo just for the 25th anniversary show.
Furthermore, lucky fans who attended were able to cop exclusive T-shirts onsite, featuring graphics of the artists, while the brand also gifted a limited collaboration with Beats By Dre to all artists. For more, you can peep snippets of the performances via BAPE below.
In other BAPE news, the brand celebrated ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ with a playful collab.
