Global K-pop sensation BTS is partnering with portable furniture brand Helinox for a selection of packable amethyst-tinted furniture. Does this collaboration make sense? Not immediately. But BTS fans will know that the group's 2020 reality series In The SOOP sent Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, and V into the forest to experience the call of the wilderness first-hand  – albeit in a luxury private lake house – so this collab isn't completely out of left field.

The 5-piece capsule is embossed with a circuit board-like design of logos and triangular icons across the board. The selection includes a Helinox Chair One, a Cot One convertible (with a mesh net tray underneath,) a Table One Hard Top, Sacoche bag, Gymsack, and a patch reading "Hello My Name is" – a must-have for that impromptu "getting to know you chat" with a stranger in the woods.

As per Helinox's brand objective, the pieces are made to be easily transported, packed away, and reassembled so you can bring a bit of sophistication and comfort to your camping trip. The Gorpcore trend is a fairly recent addition to the catalog of lifestyles currently being peddled and aggressively marketed to, and perhaps the impulse to be outdoors will rise further as 2021 continues to roll out its vaccinations to get countries out of lockdown and back into the wider world. And now you can do so, in the style of BTS, no less.

Budding campers and K-pop fans should head here, to see our selection of outdoor gear inspired by BTS's trials and tribulations from In The SOOP.
