It doesn't get much more Parisian than CELINE, and for its latest show dubbed DANS PARIS, the label pays homage to its roots by shooting its collection in two of the city's historical monuments.

The first part of the collection takes place in the restored "Salons D'Apparat" in the Hôtel de la Marine, which is a historic 18th-century building on Place de la Concorde.

Of course, the collection has been shot by Hedi Slimane himself and captures the impressive history of the building that has been home to royal collections, lavish receptions, and the balls for the coronation of Napoleon and King Charles X.

The collection itself is what Hedi Slimane does best. It is old news that I'm personally a massive fan of "new" CELINE, and DANS PARIS is no exception.

Taking everyday essentials such as jeans and blazers and elevating them is one of the designer's specialty, and as someone who's known for his requisite tailoring, Slimane's CELINE just hits the spot. Each look from the collection is unmistakably chic, whether it has a pair of denim trousers or a sequin mini dress, and also captures the effortlessness of Parisian style.

Using luxury materials like leather, the collection includes trousers, skirts, jackets, boots and heels, all crafted from the premium material.

Elsewhere, Slimane has experimented with graphics and colors, pairing a snakeskin-print skirt in hues of yellow and brown with a striped knitted sweater in red, white, and blue.

Capes, coats, and blazers are also a focal point of the collection, making me wish that I had an entire rotation of CELINE's elevated pieces for everyday wear.

Of course, the collection also features plenty of eyewear, as well as bags. This season, the Shoulder Chain Matelassé Monochrome Celine, Medium Triomphe Frame and the Trapeze Triomphe are in focus, and we'll definitely see Kaia Gerber wear one on the streets as soon as it's out (the model also stars in the DANS PARIS campaign, of course). BLACKPINK's Lisa makes an apperance, too.

This time around, CELINE tapped Leah Hennessey to create the music for the show, who's also in the process of releasing her first album.

All in all, it is the perfect effortlessly chic collection by Hedi Slimane and CELINE, capturing some of the label's signature shapes and design cues, whilst staying true to its Parisian heritage.

I'm already eyeing plenty of looks, and I can't wait to mix and match denim and leather with a sleek tailored blazer this fall.
