After their surprise Christmas mixtape Merry Christmas Lil Mama dropped just in time for the holiday season last year, Chance the Rapper and Jeremih are reuniting once again. According to a new interview with producer Bongo ByTheWay that surfaced Wednesday on Rap-Up, the pair are turning the mixtape into a full album.
The producer revealed the new project will feature remakes of previously-released tracks as well as brand new songs. “It’s gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it’s gonna be a completion of that project,” he said. “We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right. It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”
The untitled album does not yet have a specific release date, so stay tuned.
