Editor’s Notes: CLOT and Nike are back together for a new collaboration, one that centers around the Air Jordan 14, but also includes the Air Jordan 35 (see the bottom of the post for more on the latter). Most notably, the upcoming release finds Edison Chen and company bringing the “Terracotta” theme to the Air Jordan 14 Low following 2018's “Terracotta” Air Jordan 13 Low.

Similar to the Air Jordan 13 Low, the Air Jordan 14 Low is outfitted with a Terracotta Warrior armor plate on the upper. Dots then appear on the side panel in two's and three's as a nod to Michael Jordan. The tongue of the sneaker is meant to mimic a traditional Chinese scroll, here emblazoned with CLOT and Jordan branding. Further homage to CLOT's Chinese heritage emerges at the heel, which is decorated with a traditional Chinese knot and coin.

According to an official press release, the CLOT x Air Jordan 14 Low “Terracotta” is an "ode to Chinese history, timelessness and Jordan’s love for the game." The collaborative sneaker is due to release on February 8.

To complement the “Terracotta” Air Jordan 14 Low, CLOT and Nike are also offering up an Air Jordan 35 collaboration, called “Warrior Jade.” The “Warrior Jade” Air Jordan 35 ultimately pulls inspiration from jade, which is widely regarded as a lucky stone in Chinese culture.

Chinese jade is a symbol for a number of positive attributes including durability, purity, and beauty. It is believed to bring luck to those who wear it and simultaneously fight off negative spirits.

Subsequently, CLOT's “Warrior Jade” Air Jordan 35 incorporates jade-colored details in the shoe's Eclipse plate, while complementary touches of red provide added pops of color against the gray suede upper. The sneaker is also accented with 3M detailing and gold eyelets, and comes with dual-branded hang tags.

The CLOT x Air Jordan 35 “Warrior Jade” is scheduled to release the same day — February 8 — as the collaborative Air Jordan 14 Low “Terracotta.”
