Brands: Converse, Bandulu
Season: Winter 2017
Key Pieces: Converse Chuck Taylor 70 silhouette, co-branded T-shirts
Editor’s Notes: After teaming up in 2015 on limited edition Chuck Taylors, Converse and Boston-based streetwear brand Bandulu Street Couture align once again for an ultra-limited Celtics-inspired drop to ring in the new year.
Comprised of 46 pairs of the Chuck 70s (23 in parchment, 23 in black) — the number is a nod to the Boston Celtics founding year, 1946. In addition, each pair features Bandulu’s Pat Peltier hand-signing and numbering of each sneaker. All 46 Chuck 70 silhouettes also incorporate an embroidered green shamrock, Bandulu logo, and co-branded NBA and Celtics sockliner.
Furthermore, the range is topped off with limited apparel pieces from the Converse Essentials line that feature, “Bandulu Street Couture 18” in player font on the back.
Converse and Bandulu celebrated the collection with a loobook showcased above, that featured local youth from the Boys and Girls Club, as well as Boston-based rapper Cousin Stizz.
Find the limited collection at Sneakeasy Boston starting Friday, January 5, with prices ranging from $40 UD to $160 USD.
