Tetsu Nishiyama, best known for his work under the brand name WTAPS, has recently launched a new brand by the name DESCENDANT. Produced by Tet and his wife Mikiko Nishiyama, DESCENDANT is a brand for men, women and also kids, which is supposed to be timeless and passed on from generation to generation. This weekend DESCENDANT opened its first flagship store in Tokyo. Today we can give you a first look at the store, as well as some select pieces of the first collection for Spring/Summer 2015.

"The brand DESCENDANT produced by Tetsu Nishiyama and Mikiko Nishiyama with Men’s, Women’s, and Kid’s wear. An apparel brand presumed to be the Nishiyama family’s wardrobe with the concept of “Passing down the generations through children’s observations of their parents” suggesting a basic style which will not fade away through time."

From the shop design to the overall presentation, Nishiyama once again impresses with his distinct style and execution. Nevertheless this is very different from the streetwear and military influenced fashion that we are used to see from him. Fans of his work that have gotten older and maybe also started having families might be best suited as the first customers for this new adventure. We will of course keep you posted on how this develops. Find our more about DESCENDANT on the brand's website here.
