Just in time for 2019, Evisu is teaming up with Medicom, purveyors of high-end collectibles, on a collaboration of apparel and designer toys under Medicom’s [email protected] imprint.

The two Japanese-born labels have a reputation for pioneering trends and designs in their respective fields. Evisu remains at the forefront of the premium denim movement, establishing a following for their hard-wearing dungarees emblazoned with a painted seagull on the back pockets. Medicom’s toys and collectibles are still sought after by fans around the globe, from its recognizable [email protected] line to its high-end action figures.

Now the two companies come together to release a limited-edition line of figures and apparel inspired by their native country. The 1000%, 400%, and 100% Evisu x [email protected] figures draw inspiration from traditional Japanese culture. Evisu’s motifs of the seagull, Godhead, and Kamon are printed on golden [email protected] figures. The smiling Godhead figure is particularly lucky—symbolizing the Japanese God of Good Fortune.

The accompanying apparel line builds on the prosperous themes of the figures, and comprises T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants—and of course, denim. No doubt, one of the standout pieces are the raw denim jeans done up with a golden print featuring Medicom’s [email protected] silhouettes.

Gold, silver, and black glitter accents add a bit of upscale texture, while elevating the otherwise casual staples into the realm of shiny party dressing. So technically, you could wear these out during New Year’s Eve.

If you want to grab a piece of the collection yourself, you’re in luck. You can currently cop the entire collaboration on Evisu.com. You can also expect it to pop-up at select retailers on January 5, 2019.
