grosser on go premiere
Grosser / Annie Nowak

New Orleans rapper Grosser started playing piano and drums at a young age, and got his start rapping in 2013. More recently, however, he started taking things into his own hands, and he’s been producing and engineering his music from start to finish for a year now. Performing live, he’s supported the likes of YG, Freddie Gibbs, and IDK. Grosser also engineers for many other New Orleans artists and performs as a DJ under the moniker Lerner Davis, most recently supporting Lil Uzi Vert.

We’ve got the exclusive premiere of his new single “On Go” – a melancholic rap banger that preaches pushing through difficult times. Here’s what Grosser himself had to say about the making of his latest track:

“Writing “On Go” was a self-imposed challenge. When I am stuck in a low place, I find myself writing music that fits the mood of the moment. Although that can be therapeutic, it can also keep me in that same low place. “On Go” is the song for drastically altering and improving that state. Usually, if I’m lucky, there is a flashing moment of respite, and it is so imperative to take full advantage. “On Go” was written to force myself to not wallow in agony, but to fight for exit and existence out of a low place, an anthem of release from the stranglehold of my demons.”
