Jennifer Lawrence is something of an anti-heel It girl. Whether she’s wearing The Row’s Ava Mary Janes or their $900 leather ballet slippers, the Hunger Games star is rarely snapped with her heels away from the ground.

Lawrence’s expansive flat shoe rotation isn’t only exclusive to brands considered as quiet luxury, though, as is proven by her equally-as-extensive collection of adidas Sambas.

Over the last few months, Lawrence has been spotted on several occasions sporting the German label’s unflappable low-profiled Samba in a rainbow of colorways.

And while the 33-year-old is just one of many Samba-wearing ultras, Lawrence manages to make what is essentially a very basic looking sneaker appear anything but.

On October 22, for example, Lawrence wore a pair of black and white Sambas with loose jeans, a hoodie, a beanie, and a shin-length coat. And while the outfit itself was hardly revolutionary, the simple addition of adidas’ best-ever selling sneakers on foot elevated the entire look tenfold.

Lawrence essentially took a sneaker renowned for being subtle and made it the star of the show.

Of course, the actor’s innate ability to upgrade an outfit with merely a garment or accessory is nothing new. Take her $2k LOEWE Puzzle Fold Tote bag flex last month for instance, or, more recently, how she made wearing socks and Birkenstocks look deceptively easy.

Clearly Lawrence has a knack for making the elementary look anything but. Yet her ability to do it with a pair of adidas Sambas, a sneaker almost impossible to avoid o the streets and styled more times than you can shake a stick at, is even more impressive.
