After Nike unveiled the Swoosh-bearing Nike Air Jordan 3 “Tinker Hatfield,” and Justin Timberlake wore his “JTH” version of the same shoe during the Super Bowl LII halftime show, Nike has unveiled three new samples dubbed “Air Higher.”
The samples were on show at Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods pop-up store in New York City and Highsnobiety was on hand to capture a first look. The trio of brown samples sat alongside the Air Jordan 3 “Tinker” that is releasing in late March, and the JTH which will be available at certain stops along Timberlake’s U.S. tour.
Designed to coincide with the track “Higher Higher” from Timberlake’s new album, the pack differs from the former two sneakers in that they feature an upper constructed entirely of suede, with either a black mudguard or a “ grey cement” mudguard. Yellow lace eyelets and a bright orange tongue lining stand in stark contrast to the monotone uppers.
Highsnobiety was informed that these three colorways will be reserved for friends & family of Timberlake.
Timberlake was joined by guests that included Heron Preston at the pop-up store, with a massive crowd hanging around outside hoping to catch a glimpse of the singer and his newly unveiled sneakers. Heron Preston also announced on Instagram that he designed the tour merch for JT’s upcoming tour. Bravo was also involved in curating the entire merch launch, which also features items from Pendleton, Moleskin, Warby Parker and others.
