Kamaiyah burst onto the scene last year with one of the best rap mixtapes of 2016, but if you haven't listened to her by now, chances are you're going to be in a big way in 2017. The Oakland rapper marked her debut foray into the mixtape game in spectacular style with A Good Night in the Ghetto, and now she’s announced her sophomore project.

Taking to Twitter on her birthday, Kamaiyah announced that she’s dropping her next mixtape, Don’t Ever Get It Twisted, which will arrive on April 21st. To say we're excited would be severe understatement; her debut mixtape made it on our list of the best albums of the year and went on to soundtrack every halfway decent party we attended in the time since.

Kamaiyah has also recently jumped on the timeless hook for YG’s hit single “Why You Always Hatin?” alongside Drake, which you can watch below.

Elsewhere in music news, Travis Scott has dropped a surreal 30-minute short film titled “Birds in The Trap,” so named for his massively successful 2016 album, which you can watch here.
