Shortly after dropping the While We Wait mixtape, Kehlani returns to share the official music video for "Butterfly." This visual follows “Nunya” and “Nights Like This” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. "Butterfly" is particularly special to Kehlani because it gave her the opportunity to collaborate with her alma mater Oakland School for the Arts.

As detailed in a post on Instagram, her former dance teacher, Mr. Savage, and production design teacher, Jean Francois Revon, led the way in recruiting students to contribute to the set design and create choreography for the visual, all over a span of three days. The clip stars male dancers Munir and Musa Omar alongside a pregnant Kehlani.

While We Wait came out last month and also includes features from 6LACK, Dom Kennedy and Musiq Soulchild. Revisit our review of the mixtape here.
