Kevin Garnett made his feature film debut in Uncut Gems, playing himself back in the 2012 NBA playoffs. He's apparently caught the acting bug, as he said in a Q&A after a screening in New York: "I told the [Safdie] bros here to do another movie, and I want to be a villain. I don't want to be one of those villains at the end and have to do 15 minutes of fighting. Blow me away [early], I'm out of here."

Apparently the rigors of the NBA are more tenable than that of a movie fight scene.

Garnett has earned praise for his acting debut, with The Hollywood Reporter saying, "There’s not an actor in the cast who doesn’t deliver work that’s boisterous and full-bodied, and that includes baller Garnett."
