Even outside of his legendary iconic NBA career, Kobe Bryant is still winning rings.

At the 2018 Oscars, his latest film project Dear Basketball took home gold in the Animated Short Film category. In his first major project post-retirement, Bryant turned his “Dear Basketball” retirement poem from the Players Tribune into a short, animated film. The short was narrated by Bryant and directed by Glen Keane, the animator who has worked on such classic films as AladdinThe Little MermaidBeauty and the Beast and Tangled.” The film is about six minutes long and features hand-drawn animation.
