Editor’s Notes: Menswear designer John Elliott is no stranger to Nike collaborations, and we recently got our best look at his next collab (rumored to be dropping in August) thanks to none other than LeBron James.

The NBA star wore the black/white version of the sneakers, which the designer has dubbed “Icon,” on his customary pre-game catwalk to the locker room. John Elliott’s Instagram account documented the whole thing, posting two pictures of the sneakers themselves, as well as snaps of James rocking the silhouette on court and post-game.

According to reports, the pair with the black detailing will get a public release, while the all-white pair is reserved for friends and family. The new silhouette borrows its midsole from the LeBron 8, which is reportedly John Elliott’s favorite of the LeBron signature sneakers thus far.

In one of the Instagram posts, John Elliott wrote, “Excited to announce our collection for the worlds greatest athlete,” prompting speculation that the Icon is part of a larger collection.
