This Thanksgiving, Thom Browne tapped Lil Uzi Vert to front its new editorial, an event that saw models, musicians, fashion editors, and photographers dressed head-to-toe in the brand’s new football-themed collection and challenge each other to a football match.

Split into two teams, team navy and team gray, the friendly game took place in Central Park’s North Meadow. Yet while everyone flaunted their athletic ability, in the end, all eyes were on Uzi, and his kilt. Check it out above.

Uzi teamed the classic loopback mini pleated skirt with the narrow shoulder 4-bar jacket from the Thanksgiving Football Collection. He finished off the look with a pair of Browne’s new brown pebbled football cap toe trainers. As with Thom Browne’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection, the Thanksgiving Collection puzzles and plays with conventions of masculinity and sportswear.

Also repping Team Navy was model/activist Yves Mathieu, who posted shots of his game attire along with a poem that included the lines, “boys in skirts have more fun” and “head to toe in Thom Browne.”

Team Gray, featuring GQ’s Samuel Hine, and playwright, Jeremy O. Harris, paired the medium gray 4-bar sport coat with the light gray chino shorts, and thermal leggings, finished off with white merino wool beanies and medium gray cashmere knit ties.

The Thanksgiving Football Collection, including Uzi’s mini pleated skirt, is available to purchase now on the Thom Browne website.
