“Throw your diamonds in the sky if you feel the vibe,” rapped Roc Nation boss Jay Z back in 2005. Lil’ Wayne was definitely feeling the Roc Nation vibe on Monday night when he threw up his hands in a diamond shape during a performance at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. “Is it cool if I just say it? It’s the Roc,” Wayne said. “You know I’m a member of that team now.” Check out his casual announcement below.

Rumors that Lil Wayne wanted to jump ship to Roc Nation had been swirling for a while, but now they seem to be confirmed. It remains to be seen which label will release Wayne’s upcoming twelfth studio album Tha Carter V, due to disputes with his longtime label Cash Money Records. His last full-length was a free streaming-only release titled Free Weezy Album, which dropped back in 2015. Still no word on when exactly Tha Carter V will be released, but it is scheduled for sometime this year. In the meantime, revisit Lil Wayne’s latest verses on Nicki Minaj’s "No Frauds," which also features Drake, below.
