Maisie Williams has grand plans to revolutionize social media with her own app, Business Insider reports. The app is called Daisie, and it aims to combat the "who-you-know" culture in the creative industry, which it will do by connecting people and hosting interviews with famous actors, musicians, and designers.

The app launches today, with the Game of Thrones star revealing that she hopes to eventually make it available in various territories and languages. In a statement obtained by BI, the actor explained, "Previous to Daisie, success in the creative industries was wholly dependent on luck and 'ins' to the industry." She continued, "Daisie introduces a new way into the creative world; through connections made organically and the natural development of your skills, propelling individuals to the next level."

There's limited information on how exactly Williams' app will help people forge these connections, but there will be a live Q&A session to coincide with the launch which should help clear matters up.

Virgil Abloh and Ed Sheeran are two of the names Williams is trying to tap for the interviews.

More information to follow.
