Actor (and occasional rapper) Millie Bobby Brown, star of hit Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things, is about to launch her own makeup and skincare line, Florence by Mills, WWD reports. The range, which is described as having a “Gen Z focus,” is named after Brown's great-grandmother and is said to be PETA-certified, vegan, and cruelty-free.
Speaking to WWD, Brown explained the brand's name and stated that Florence by Mills will include the kind of skin products she's come to love over the years, such as Light Skin Tint, Eye Gel Pads, and more.
“I felt like a brand about individuality and bravery and being truthful should be named after somebody who was all of those things," Brown said. “I’ve been in a makeup chair since I was 10, 11 years old, and I have really been introduced to all types of products. I’ve had special effects on my face, blood, all different types of foundation… I wanted to come into the [makeup and skincare] space because there was a gap in the market for young people."
It might be her first brand, but this isn't Brown's first foray into fashion. Earlier this year, she teamed up with Converse on a customizable range of vegan sneakers. This latest move suggests the actor is now going all-in on animal-free products.
Florence by Mills products will reportedly cost between $10 and $34 and will be sold at Ulta Beauty, Boots, and online. Part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Olivia Hope Foundation, which was founded in honor of Brown's friend Olivia Hope LoRusso, who passed away aged 12 in 2017 after a battle with leukemia.
