Miu Miu’s Greatest Hits Are Now $625 Bag Charms
Miu Miu wants you and your purse to match. The brand is releasing a series of bag charms modeled after its greatest hits, from that miniskirt to those ballet flats.
Appealing to fashion's recent penchant for accessorized accessories, Miu Miu shrinks these iconic pieces into leather miniatures that can be attached to your bag, keys, or anything you want to "Jane Birkin-ify."
There's the cropped button-down and miniskirt combo from Miu Miu's trend-shifting Spring/Summer 2022 collection, as well as the viral ballet slippers it showed for Fall/Winter 2022.
If those don't tickle your fancy, Miu Miu is also offering its logo hoodie and penny loafers in bag charm form. There's even a shrunken version of the brand's Aventure bag, an archival style that the Miu Miu updated this year.
Mini Miu Miu is still an investment. The charms start at $625 and reach $1,550, substantial figures for a pair of shoes or a bag you can actually wear.
Miu Miu isn't the only luxury brand doubling down on bougie purse charms. Balenciaga, Prada, and LOEWE all offer their own bag bling.
Back in September, Coach proposed we start accessorizing our shoes, too. At the brand's SS25 runway show, sneakers were outfitted with whimsical doodads shaped like cars, cassette tapes, and unicorns.
With the advent of "Charm-maxxing," it's not just about accessorizing with the latest it-bag — it's about accessorizing your it-bag with an it-bag charm.
