Editor’s Notes: We first got a look at the “Raptors” Nike Air Jordan IV back in April, when leak accounts posted the sneakers on Instagram. Now, courtesy of Solebox, we’re finally getting an on-foot look at the sneaker, which drops on August 18.

Originally, leak accounts claimed that this iteration would have Drake’s signature on the inside of the tongue due to the colorway’s (inaccurate) association with the Toronto Rapters. The signature was eventually left off the design, which further ignited the Drake-to-adidas rumors — most of which have seemed to cooled off by now.

The “Raptors” colorway made its debut on the Air Jordan VII three years before the Toronto Raptors were officially a member of the NBA, which is why a lot of older sneakerheads are unlikely to refer to them by that name.

Take a look at the sneakers above and leave any thoughts in the comments.
