Earlier this year, photographer Jacobus Rentmeester sought damages from Nike over an original photo of Michael Jordan that he took, which he subsequently claimed was used as the groundwork for the "Jumpman" logo. Mosman, the judge presiding over the case, concluded that Rentmeester had "failed to show that he [could] satisfy the requisite objective test for copyright infringement."
