Editor’s Notes: After releasing the Kobe A.D., Kobe Bryant continues to receive post retirement sneakers as his second pair is this newly-introduced Zoom Kobe 1 Protro.

Bryant developed the idea of a performance retro and coined the concept Protro. "Protro is about evolution and improving on things that were," says Bryant. "I wanted to build a business that wasn’t just based on things I have done in the past. It is important that the brand stands for performance and that everything we do is innovative, even if we are releasing shoes from the past they still must be built on performance."

Essentially an updated variation of the Zoom Kobe 1 from 2005 but with 2018 tech, the Kobe 1 Protro is rendered in the original black/yellow colorway that incorporates a modified Zoom bag and overall lighter construction as it's traditional heavier pieces were removed to improve its weight.
