Motofumi Kogi, better known as “Poggy the Man,” has collaborated with American-turned-Swiss watch manufacturer Hamilton on a limited-edition timepiece. Known for his encyclopedic knowledge of the fashion industry and its most pivotal moments, Poggy’s latest collaborative effort is an expression of admiration for fellow style icon, Elvis Presley, as well as Hamilton’s illustrious design history.
Motofumi “Poggy the Man” Kogi
When I started devoting myself to fashion, the first watch I bought was a Hamilton Khaki Field. In my 20s, I longed for a Ventura. Hamilton has been and will always be very special to me. I believe that any collaboration should be between friends with the same mindset and that is what has happened with Hamilton.
Using Hamilton’s Ventura as the base of his design, Poggy fell in love with the model’s asymmetric build and futuristic appeal. The Ventura POGGYTHEMAN flaunts a full-black build, highlighted by pink accents on the dial and along the strap lining. The palette draws parallels to the unforgettable pink suit Elvis would wear on stage, marking the timepiece as bold and expressive as it is elegant -- a truly unique take on an iconic 20th century accessory.
Limited to 500 pieces only, the new Ventura Poggy the Man watch is now exclusively available on Highsnobiety’s Shop.
