A one-off, custom "Slate Grey" Porsche 911 R, in tribute to Steve McQueen, is set to go up for auction in Paris at RM Sotheby's this weekend — and yes, it's as every bit as cool as it sounds.

The car is the only PT 911 R ever delivered to France, and boasts a 500 bhp DOHC six-cylinder engine, a super smooth six-speed manual transmission, and independent front and rear suspension. Inside there's a murdered-out personalized interior, a Bose sound system, and illuminated door sills lighting up some of the iconic actor's famous words: “Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."

If you have the cash, head over to RM Sotheby's to place a bid. Twenty five percent of the winning bid will be donated to the Gustave Roussy Foundation, the world's leading cancer research institute.
