Ever since Prince’s shocking passing from this world in April, the world has felt like a significantly less purple place. Luckily for us, Nike has put a little bit of this purple back in a shoe that would have made the Lord of Paisley Park himself proud. It is an update to the Air Jordan 12 Retro in a colorway called “Hyper Violet,” and it drops tomorrow.

Though purple may rule in name, the sneaker also incorporates black and metallic gold into the color scheme. The upper, for instance, is predominantly black with shiny gold on the metal lace loops. The radiant shade of violet decks out the tongue, inner liner, back heel and outsole of the shoe.
