Many assumed that the beef between grime talismans Skepta and Wiley had cooled down since the latter’s diss track “Flip the Table” arrived in November. But Skepta has succinctly reminded us that that is not at all the case. The rapper has unveiled a new track titled “Wish You Were Here” that is a truly brutal takedown. Listen to it below.

If the chorus’ line “Came to squash beef but you weren’t there” didn’t make it abundantly clear how Skepta is feeling, the following certainly does the trick: “Oldschool beef, no I ain’t got time/ Oldschool friends, no I ain’t got time.” He also manages to reference his standout appearance on A$AP Rocky’s 2018 track “Praise the Lord (Da Shine).”

Skepta’s last album was 2016’s highly-acclaimed Konnichiwa. Meanwhile, Wiley released the full-length Godfather II just last year.
