Sky Ferreira has released her first new song since 2013. "Downhill Lullaby" is the first single from her upcoming album, Masochism, expected later in 2019. The musician first announced the single last week on social media. In a Twitter post from earlier this month, Ferreira explains the track "isn't a pop song" and alludes to a music video for the single.

In addition, Ferreira credited “Twin Peaks” music supervisor Dean Hurley as co-producer of "Downhill Lullaby" in a recent Pitchfork digital cover story. The song interpolates Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" and features Danish violinist Nils Gröndah. Sky Ferreira's last project was her 2013 album Night Time, My Time. Stream "Downhill Lullaby" below.
