Rapper Smino likes to get a fit off, but he wants to look cozy in the process. For our latest shopping video, Highsnobiety's Noah Thomas invites the musician to retail store Mannahatta in New York City to browse a few items that will match his "cozy and colorful" fashion style.
Housing many Japanese brands, which Smino jokingly calls "Japanyonnaise", he opens up about his new found love for Kapital, and takes a closer look at the brand Needles, who've become widely known for their deconstructed Old Western/military Americana style and trendy trackpants.
While shopping, Smino also dives into the inspiration behind his own collection of viral "silk pillow" hoodies for his music collective Zero Fatigue. What was initially created to prevent the artist from messing his hair up on tour has become a must-have item from fans. "It was my first time going viral for a product," he reveals.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have any plans on going the fashion designer route, but confirms he'll continue to make a lot of hoodies in the future.
