In following up on 2015's Hollywood picture Straight Outta Compton, which detailed hip-hop legends N.W.A and their influence on music and pop culture, A&E has delivered the first episode in their new two-part mini-series, Streets of Compton. The three-hour installment takes a look into the real city of Compton, California, delving into how an area that is overrun with gangs and drugs became a cultural powerhouse.
Well-known West Coast rapper The Game acts as liaison, providing with unprecedented access to the streets of his hometown, where gangs and violence tend to prevail and gangster rap rules all.
In the initial episode of Streets of Compton, find out how a quiet suburban town transformed into a dangerous ghetto and spawned a new form of hip-hop with legendary group N.W.A, as well as get a look at the careers of Venus and Serena Williams and comedian Paul Rodriguez.
